National Alliance on Mental Illness
Mission Objectives
The shared vision and purpose at NAMI of Eastern Oregon is four-fold and closely aligned with those of 1200 other NAMI affiliates nationwide:
Providing support, education and advocacy for people with mental illness and for the families of those with mental illness;
Promoting better quality of care, rights and interests of people with mental illness, particularly of those who cannot speak for themselves;
Helping families and friends of people with mental illness by providing emotional support, education and information;
Advocating policy and legislation at the local, state and national level to accomplish each of these important objectives.
