About NAMI of Eastern Oregon

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families.

Founded in 1979, the national organization has become the nation’s voice on mental illness, with NAMI affiliates in every state and in 1200 local communities across the country who join together to meet the NAMI mission through advocacy, research, support and education. Dedicated NAMI members, leaders and friends work tirelessly across all levels on behalf of people living with mental illness.

Established in 2007, NAMI of Eastern Oregon is the state's only NAMI affiliate east of Bend and one of only three affiliates east of the Cascades. In a region sorely in need of the education and support NAMI can provide, we are an important partner in Eastern Oregon's mental health community.

As a grassroots organization, NAMI Eastern relies on volunteers at every level of the organization. Your generous contributions of human and financial resources are immensely appreciated. NAMI of Eastern Oregon is a registered, not-for-profit organization under IRS 501(c)(3) designation. All gifts and contributions are tax-deductible.
